We booked a maternity and newborn shoot as I loved Amy-Lou’s natural and candid photography style and she instantly put us at ease from the first communication. She helped with tips on styling/clothing beforehand and on the day of both shoots helped gently guide us awkward subjects into being relaxed and really getting the most out of the time. Wild At Heart Photography is probably the best photography experience I have ever had, even more so in Hong Kong! Amy-Lou is incredible with light! She sees and understands the nature of the story you want to tell and then enhances it to the level you might have not even imagined. Amy-Lou is the kindest, most patient photographer! She has a lovely way with kids and a talent for capturing amazing moments that you weren't even aware of during the shoot. She's friendly and flexible and even offers extra cute items like collages and a postcard to send to family. The photos themselves are beautiful; she really understands colour theory and guides you with outfits before the shoot which was so helpful. Will definitely be reaching out again for future photoshoots. Could not be happier!
We did two beach shoots with Amy Lou and the results have been incredible. We got some amazing shots that we’ll look back on for years to come. At the end of both shoots, our kids didn’t want to leave despite arriving in a not so great mood. Thank you for capturing this special time of our lives, and I can’t wait to do our newborn shoot with her!
Edit: We just received our newborn gallery as well and they are so beautiful! She helped us shop for and coordinates our outfits too, and the result was gorgeous.
We got gifted a family photoshoot for the birth of our third child. Amy-Lou is very professional and her talent is amazing. I would definitely recommend Amy-Lou if you are looking to capture the perfect chemistry in your family in a raw and natural way. She is a great communicator making sure expectations are well expressed before the shoot. The actual shoot was just magical, our kids and us adults just loved having her over to our home and her walking us through her magic.
I’ve been following Amy-Lou for a few years as I absolutely love her style so it was an easy decision to pick her for our maternity and newborn photos! As someone who is super awkward in front of a camera, Amy put me at ease immediately. She’s fab at building a relationship before you even meet, so when she came to take photos of our new baby it just felt like having a friend visit. Wow!We are so blown away by our beautiful family photographs, thank you SO much! I love each image more than the next; the small tender moments between the kids, their tiny fingers and expressions that we want to remember when we're old and grey, the hilarity with the biggest kid in the house. We chatted about capturing candid moments in our happy place at the beach where our children have learnt to crawl, walk, swim, and what you have sent is beyond anything I could have imagined.
There are not enough wonderful words to describe our experience with Amy Lou. Right from the start you know she is invested in making your photo dreams become reality, with helping me choose dresses and creating mood boards, to finding the perfect location for our family shoot. On the day, Amy made sure we were comfortable and relaxed, she is organised and gives great direction so it never felt tedious, we had so much fun. Amy-Lou is an amazing photographer! She communicates well, keeps you posted on delivery timeline and has such a wide range of knowledge in the Lantau area. Absolutely loved the beautiful photos by Amy-Lou! We were looking for a warm, loving, casual and natural shoot for our 1 year old baby boy, and Amy-Lou did it effortlessly. She has been very understanding and supportive, as the weather hasn’t been in our favour; when we could finally do the shoot, the time zoomed past as she was so lovely to be around with. 100% recommended!
We can’t thank Amy-Lou enough for capturing such a special time in our lives. The first few days post-birth can feel so overwhelming, but she made us feel completely at ease during the shoot - and went out of her way to check in on me the days prior.

Amy-Lou has blown us away with so many amazing shots and beautiful photos of our “young” and growing family, so much so that my wife was brought to tears when she saw them for the first time. Her professionalism and ability to capture the right moment, sometimes within a split-second courtesy of our two not always co-operative little boys, has provided us with something we will forever cherish. We couldn’t be any happier and would recommend Lantau Life to anyone without hesitation.
We recently had our 100 day shoot for our daughter Lyra with Amy-Lou, it was so much fun! She was very professional and gave us advice on how to pose, what to prep and even sent suggestions/mood boards on what to wear. Everything was taken care of so we could relax and enjoy our shoot with our little girl. Amy-Lou helped us to feel comfortable and we had so many laughs.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience with Amy-Lou. We managed to fit a family shoot with my three and six year old, husband, and our helper, alongside individual shots of my bump into such a short period of time. Amy-Lou has such a wonderful eye for capturing candid moments and making "posed" shots really comfortable. I love her natural, unfiltered style, and she made me feel extremely beautiful and at ease in front of the camera!
OMG I literally love every single one. There's maybe one I don't like only because I have a weird expression but not because the photo isn't amazing. When Aliz’s 1st birthday was approaching, there was no doubt, who I’m going to choose to capture that special moment with my family. You chose the perfect secluded spot for this shoot and made sure we felt comfortable all the time. It really felt like we were just having a fun picnic with a friend who was casually taking some photos in the background. When Aliz was overwhelmed, you were great at handling the situation. You really put your heart into everything you do and it shines through in your work.
It was my daughter’s very first time at the beach and I am so grateful for Amy that she captured this special moment. During the photoshoot, she made sure that we feel comfortable, relaxed and just be ourselves. Amy was climbing rocks and lying in the sand to take the best shots. She is super creative, very enthusiastic and last but not least great with kids. All these are reflected on the photos, which I literally cannot stop looking at.
