In the mythology of Assyria the beautiful fertility goddess Atargatis became a mermaid after casting herself into a lake. Mermaids are celebrated as the bringers of life and fertility because of the sea & its endless supply of food, and forces of great power. Therefore, underwater shoots are perfect for all you maternity mamas out there.

Requirements:


  • Firstly you will need access to a pool, a private pool is best as it allows us to have complete control over lighting, mood, space and comfortability. Plus for those stunning nude shoots it is perfect.
  • Secondly, confidence and competence in the water is a must. If you feel your swimming skill level or fitness is not in a good place, then it's best to go for a regular maternity shoot. Prioritising mama and baby's safety is the absolute priority.
  • Lastly, the temperature is important and pools in HK are generally only open March-October, this is the sweet spot where shoots are best. Due to my limited availability I recommend booking well in advance for this type of shoot.
